That's only because you and coolo shortened the whole discussion to "packagers should have a clue", which is reductio ad absurdum. First: there are multiple level of cluelessness (one of them, which you freely but unfoundedly included in "clueless" is "have no time right now to solve it properly, because the deadline is approaching") second: not everything magic was done because of cluelessness, third: others might want to understand the stuff.
