I've just finished confronting him with various licenses and as far as
he seems to be concerned the GPL can go to hell. I've left him in his
self created hell.
As long as everything works everybody is happy and I don't think we'll
see the original cdrecord and cdrtools in any GPL friendly distribution
for a while.

I'm going to try it out for myself though just to see if the authors
megalomania is justified.
