Hi
Is there any software to play .dat and .avi movie files in Suse linux 10.
Where should i download them from ?

My first camera produced avi-files that I could not and still cannot play in Linux. But my new Samsung Pro 820 produces avi-files that I can play, with either Xine or Kaffeine. I know that avi is no real format, it just a combination of some sound format plus some video format, so it depends largely on what is contained in your avi files.
About 'dat' I know nothing, did not even know that it should be playable.
