Matrox produces some nice but highly priced professional graphics cards for
PCI, AGP, PCIeX1, and PCIeX16 systems, and it offers open-source drivers for
GNU/Linux. http://www.matrox.com/ and http://www.shopmatrox.com/

nVidia produces low-cost gaming cards like 7800 and higher-cost professional
cards like Quadro, and most models have a binary driver for GNU/Linux and
BSD. http://www.nvidia.com/

I use a PCIeX16 nVidia 6600 256MB card on my SUSE 10.0 PC and I am happy with
it.

If you need a faster card, nVidia 6800GS is a good and cheap solution.
