I've upgraded from suse9.2 to 9.3 and now sound doesn't work.
This is what i find in boot.msg :

"Starting sound driver: intel8x0FATAL: Error inserting snd_intel8x0
(/lib/modules/2.6.11.4-20a-default/kernel/sound/pci/snd-intel8x0.ko):
Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) "

And this is shown when i type "# modprobe snd_intel8x0" , also tried
to add this line to "/etc/rc.d/boot" and "/etc/rc.d/boot.loadmodules" ,
and i didn't work)

in dmesg frequently appears: "snd_intel8x0: Unknown parameter
`joystick'
load_module: err
0xfffffffe (dont worry)"

When i start YaST > Hardware > Sound, i get a message:

"The number of curently running cards doesn't match the number of
configured cards in your configuration files. Try to restart sound
system? YES NO"

When i click yes, module snd_intel8x0 is loaded and playback is avelable.

Can you please tell me how to fix this, please.

Thanks.
