I picked up something a couple of years ago that I'm just beginning to
look at again now. It's called a Dazzle D-V Bridge. It looks pretty
cool. It has inputs and outputs of analog (RCA jacks), S-Video, and
firewire. It will convert analog to digital, digital to analog, or pass
through.
What interests me most is playing media (i.e., old vcr tapes) and either
storing it or displaying it in real time on my pc, equipped with a 1394
card. Naturally, the appliance came with plenty of Windows and Mac
software. Terrific.
I know about and use vobcopy and ogle to play directly on my pc's dvd.
Is there software which will read the incoming stream and pass it
through to the screen?
If possible I'd like to use this without buying another tv card.
