NVIDIA driver problem

Hi,

I have an NVIVIA Geforce 4000 (as far as I remember), and I have had trouble with it through several SuSE installations. However I have always managed to get it to work and it works just peachy when I need to use Windows.

I just installed 9.2 and to no surprise YOU couldn't install the driver so I tried to install it using the .run file from nvidia-com. After going into "init 3" this is what I get:
1. My system does not find a precompiled kernel interface, so it tries to download one from nvidia.com. There is no one there either.
2. When trying to make a kernel interface I get an error stating that the kernel header file /lib/modules/2.6.8-24.11-default/build/include/linux/kernel.h was not found. This could be due to kernel-src not being installed, so I installed the additional package.
3. Tried again and after additional errors I found that kernel.h was in another directory.
4. ran "sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-6629-pkg1.run --kernel-source-path /usr/src/linux-2.6.8-24/include".
5. Finally I get: ERROR: unable to build NVIDIA kernel module.

Any suggestions?

:)Bogi
