Well, you are doing better than I. I cannot get my system to record anything.

I have installed 8.2 Professional on my new machine having a GA-7VAX onboard
audio (Realtek ALC650). The pcm works...I can hear CDs played back. But,
programs like KRec or Audacity all tell me that there is no audio available
or it is not configured. Also, there is no MIDI port recognized.

So, I installed an extra PCI based Soundblaster (Audio PCI 128) card I had.
The results were the same.

I have checked the YAST2 sound configuration. Both show up there.
