Ja. Geht aber auch ohne. Guck dir mal die Ausgabe von 'mplayer -vo
help' an.

-vo aa
-vo bl
-vo svga
-vo fbdev
-vo fbdev2
-vo cvidix
-vo directfb
-vo sdl (das hat IIRC auch Konsolenausgabevarianten)

Was bei dir davon am besten läuft mußt du selber ausprobieren. Und ich
weiß auch nicht, ob der mplayer von packman die Varianten alle drin hat.
