[opensuse-mobile] OpenSuSE 10.3 - Radeon driver with old ati card

Hello,
I have OpenSuSE 10.3 installed on my old Compaq Presario 2100 laptop with an ati IGP 340M graphic card. The card is recognized correctly after the out of box installation by the open source radeon driver (as ati RS200). However problem I have now is that the 3D acceleration does not work. When I start SaX2 it tells me that the driver does not support 3D acceleration for the card so there is no option where I can activate 3D support.
Since this is an old laptop it is not that important whether I have 3D acceleration or not (I will not run e.g. compiz on it anyway). I only ask if I missed some simple points for the configuration or package installation, etc, since on SuSe 10.0 it worked.
