In that case, many people might be at risk and might not be aware of the risks
(like myself). Because anyone can suspend windows to disk, boot to Suse and
change their files on shared fat partitions. Imagin someone wanting
to try Suse, installs it on his/her Windows machine with suspend to
disk already
enabled, and writes or copies something to a Windows partition, only to see all
data lost! I'm not saying there is no risk, I'm only saying that many
might face
this risk and are not warned!

I get the point. But is there a way to temporarily go back to powersave instead
of pm? In my case, I do not need to share files between the two OS. In fact I
dont even really need the fat partition. But still I would like to go
to XP without
shuting down Suse, if this is possible at all.
