Hi Kay,
I faced similar issues. In my case there was an issue with module unloading. 
I'd suggest to unload the sound modules (network card modules ...) prior to 
attempting the hibernation (and this will be a try and fail process).
What is astonishing, though, is the fact that you can do a suspend2ram without 
problems, this is strange, I only know it the other way round'

if you really want to see the pictures above - use some font
with constant spacing like courier! :-)
