Just to confirm: i have also seen this on nv with SUSE 9.2. The NVidia driver worked for me (but no suspend, yes).
DPMS worked without problem under 9.1, and Yoper 2, which also uses XFree86. I have never before installed x.org on this machine.
seems to be a x.org issue :-(
Note that this has been hacked manually to make it work with the Alps touchpad! Mit Veränderungen für Alps touchpad.
Didn't it work with selecting "ALPS" "Touchpad" as mouse type in sax2? (or did you just not expect the setting to be in there :-) -- Stefan Seyfried
