Hier ist irgenwas nicht konsistent. Hast Du pcmcia neu gestartet?
Mach mal 'ps ax | grep cardm' und kuck was hinter '-n' steht.

D.h. zwei Laptops, auf einem funktioniert alles auf dem anderen nicht?
Dann wirst Du wohl so lange die beiden Systeme genau beschreiben
müssen, bis jemand der entscheidenen Unterschied auffällt.
