Hi,

My name is Sebastian Hilbert. I am a physician from Germany working on GNUmed.
I have linked the GNUmed packages into the repository.

I am fortunate to have a Suse studio account and have started an effort to
produce a live CD.

There are two showstoppers. GNUmed needs Postgresql. This can be added as a
package but the user postgres cannot easily be added to the live CD.

It needs a custom pg_hba.conf which cannot be added with the correct
permissions currently.

For GNUmed we have built a Live CD based on Debian and used XFCE as a window
manager.

Personally I use KDE and if I use KDE in the Live medium it becomes a Live DVD
instead of CD.

Anyway I am looking forward to the progress of this project. There is a
related project called linuxforclinics. I will invite its maintainer to join
this project.

I like the idea of Opensuse-medical as to the doctor it does not matter which
OS a computer runs on as long as he can do all his work.

Opensuse has the potential establish istself as the leading distribution for
medical offices or hospitals.

Sebastian
