I´m finish with testing Fedora, today, and I´m start to write a article. To compare it with openSUSE, we need an openSUSE-release. Shall we compare Fedora with openSUSE 11.3 or with 11.4 in development?
kind regards kdl
Kim, Exactly, that's the problem. Talking about distro comparison between openSUSE 11.3 and Fedora 14, they are on different stages. Fedora 14 was released with kernel 2.6.35. and systemd and openSUSE 11.3 was released with kernel 2.6.34 and sysvinit. Indeed, openSUSE 11.4 will probably drop down systemd for while because some small issues still not solved around compatibility and stability (conservative). What those 2 features means for users and developers ? Others features and functions depends on the Desktop user experiences and how the use them on a day by day basis. Here is the highlights for oS 11.3 and F 14: http://en.opensuse.org/Product_highlights (openSUSE 11.3) http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_14_announcement (Fedora 14) Comparing F 14 with any oS 11.4 Milestones comes with significant stability issues. And it would need make some clarifications to make the right justice. Hope this can help you.
