Here's a first suggested howto - what are your thoughts on this?
= Trade Shows and Conferences = * Create a blog entry announcing the event * Add an entry to http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Ambassadors_events * Get the event in the calendar on news.o.o - this way the openSUSE Weekly News Team will add it to their calendar as well (TBD: OWN Team, correct? Should I name somebody here?) * Tell the openSUSE Weekly News Team about the event: - First way in advance: Who's participating, what's happening, how people can get involved. - Again, once a week before the event: Who's participating, what's happening, any social events, how people can get involved. * After the event: Blog about the event, share some stuff on the opensuse- marketing mailing list
It would be nice to make sure the blog about the results ends up linked to on http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Ambassadors_events This makes it possible to report on the events over the last year in a yearly report or something...
Good suggestion, I added it to the list, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
