I've ended up being a victim of the 'Reply' button and not 'Reply All' ;) The reason why I asked was because Plymouth when combined with ATI Proprietary Drivers (which I know that are supported under openSUSE) do create some problems, being the most common, no Plymouth splash display, and most of it's highlights are rendered useless. This is creating some negative feedback in the Ubuntu community, thats why I placed this question, because if openSUSE was shipping with Plymouth by default, we could probably run against the same situation and we could prepare something to control the damage (maybe a disclaimer?). I believe the problem resides on the fact that ATI doesn't support KMS (Kernel Mode Switching).
