Hey all,
Hello ,
A bit ago I put out a call for participation on the editorial calendar [1]. Still looking for people to 1) propose ideas for the calendar and 2) step up and take on articles.
We have room to publish these on news.opensuse.org as appropriate or we can often offer things to Linux.com and other publishers who might be looking for how-to type material.
Who's ready? :-)
Well i would very much like to volunteer for the job.So now there are certain things with which i am not clear off and would like to speak about . 1)The news.o.o is generally been updated ,but yeah ! it needs attention Like some of the Bold topics in the past were 1.1)openSUSE news 100th edition 1.2)New board members , and so ..... So further topics or suggestions will be appreciated 2)Well we actually need some Strong tasks to do like SocNet is one them ( i dont know much about the others). As in the link the tasks doesn't seem to be much explaining to me i.e, "Marketing team members to step up and write copy. This is a great job for openSUSE ambassadors and marketing team members to step up and help support the project." Is this concerned to the news thing ? And if it so , then what kind of write-up to be presented , at what duration and again who'll be our target ? 3) "A coordinated schedule so we have project members working on the same “messages” at the same time" Could you elaborate it more.Like what kind of schedule, what all are the targets for the next Five-Six months,is there any deadline or not and so on... Also the editorial calendar on the wiki can be used for day-to-day discussion but its not a Strong task as i said. But we cant neglect it ,as it is equally required. Moreover few editions to it would be a good option. I hope i made my self clear. :)
Best,
Zonker
