Kino can do some of these tricks, but it is extremely rudimentary.

Yes I have tried Cinellera and it is considered a professional-grade video editor probably equivalent to Final Cut Pro. Neither are easy to use for the uninitiated. Since we only have a few days before release, I didn't want to inundate Shayon with that idea when he's got plenty on his plate as it is.
