With applications that are networked one can open file that is on server, make
changes and save them back to the server. Communication can be done using
Skype or IRC.
The web application that can be used to collaborate seems too much work for
nothing. We already have local applications that see web server just as
another storage media. The only thing that is missing is a place where files
can be stored.
The wiki is not really meant for such activity. It can be used, but it is
missing access control similar to what we have on our computers, that will
allow users, groups, and anyone to access file, as needed, and the upload
process can't be automated, ie. be transparent for the user.

I meant place where we can upload file, so that other can download it, printThere is need for vector graphic files exchange so that people can
collaborate on graphics, but then there is a need for the way to remove
temporary files created by experiments from the server.
Thats not the same what we mean, there is a difference for upload an
source file and working remote on it.
