Maybe it was not clear that I (and I guess most other) use Jabber only for instant messaging - not for group chats. So not as support forum. :-) The only benefits in having an own Jabber server I see is that the project would be seen as supporting open source instant messaging and could offer @opensuse.org IDs (as member benefit) analog to email forward/IRC cloak.
