I was thinking about money support, and have you guys thought about the chance of covering half air tickets, in case you cannot cover the whole trip? In my case, that would be really helpful anyway, and how about you Decks? heh.
Yes. The way some other projects do this is to cover a set amount by geography -- so, for instance, if you're traveling to the U.S. from outside North America you'd get $X and then if you're traveling from the U.S. you'd get 1/2 $X. One thing I can't stress strongly enough, though: Contributions will be the primary factor in deciding who does or doesn't get sponsored travel assistance. (That's a general comment, btw, not one aimed just to you!)
