2.) New Templates
================
It exists 2 Candidates:
* http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Template/icon-set-tango
* http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Template/icon-set-oxygen
The present people voted for Oxygen. But with the following changes:
The Sectionicon from "Planet SUSE" is to be changed to the original
*.png from PlanetSUSE. Board-icon -> opensuse logo as in tango
New/updated Icon is changed with an other.
We use the New Template in the next issue.

I curiously replaced those icons with another new icons in "NewTemplate".
http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/NewTemplate

* OWN-oxygen-Board.png -> OWN-tango-Board.png
* OWN-oxygen-Planet-SUSE.png -> OWN-Planet-SUSE.png
* OWN-oxygen-New-Updated-Applications.png ->
OWN-oxygen-New-Updated-Apps.png

Are they OK ?

And I have questions and proposals.

1)
There's a line "Welcome to issue # 54 of openSUSE Weekly News" on top of
the page and "openSUSE Weekly News" is linked to:
http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/54

What does it mean ?

I know the issue numbers are going to be replaced by the current ones,
but can't imagine where the passege "openSUSE Weekly News" should be
linked to.

2)
In the "NewTemplate", metalink tags[1] are removed and therefore we
can't see the "pulldown menu for other languages" on top of the page.
Are there any reasons to remove them ?

3)
There's no "Security Updates" section. Is it removed ? Or just
forgotten ? If we need the section, we have to make template and decide
the icon for that.

4)
We'd better add a note of caution "Numbers in brackets show the changes
compared to the previous week." somewhere in the "Statistics" section.
But I can't make a proposition, where is the best position for that.

Best,

After my previous post, I curiously modified the "NewTemplate" and put
it on the Talk page.
http://en.opensuse.org/Talk:OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/NewTemplate

Change log:

* Replaced "Info"s.
* "openSUSE Weekly News" on top of the page is just linked to
http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News
* Replaced 3 icons with the new icons as mentioned above in my previous
post.
* Added "Security Updates" section between "Upcoming Events & Meetings"
and "Statistics".
* Changed k0da's link in "Credits" section to ru.opensuse.org, because
he has not created his User page in en.opensuse.org.
http://ru.opensuse.org/Участник:Eri_zaq
* Added Italian link to "Translations" section.
* Polish -> Polski in "Translations" section.

I still don't have a good idea, where to add a note of caution for
"Statistics" section. :-(

Comments and improvements are welcome.

Best,
