Any advice on holding a launch party?

Yes. Do it. :-) You should *absolutely* have one.

Launch parties are different things to different people -- some of the launch
parties are just an excuse for a social occasion, others are a way to bring in
new users by demonstrating the latest release. I'd like to see more of the
demos, but I'm good with the social occasions too.

I've seen several people asking for more of a "script" for the parties though,
which tells me we need some kind of launch party guide. (It also hints at more
interest in having launch parties, which is good...)

Who ran successful launch parties last time? Would you like to add to the wiki
your "template"?

Best,

Zonker
