How about Japanese, Korean, ... ? (argh, the dreadful search for proper ttf fonts...) Of course we Japanese would like to ! :-) I've forwarded this issue to -ja list and we are now discussing which phrase would be better for Japanese. So, please wait a little bit ! Ok, no problem. But I'll also need a bit of help with the font :) I need a free truetype font that can render the Japanese glyphs. It was already a bit painful to find one for cn and tw ;)
You can find fonts for Japanese in the directory: http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/11.0/repo/non-oss/suse/noarch/
IPA*-002.003-22.1.noarch.rpm are the truetype fonts that can render the Japanese glyphs. In openSUSE, they are considered as "Non-OSS" packages, but the license of them has been modified and they are free now.
OK, perfect. Thanks, that'll save me a lot of work :) I'll use "ipagui.ttf" then. [...]
- About "* days to go": The image generator script I wrote supports both. It's a setting per translation. The script is here: https://forgesvn1.novell.com/svn/opensuse/trunk/infrastructure/countdown.o.o... OK. I'll see the detail of that script later.
No need to, just send me the text for each section:
- - "1 day to go"
- - "n days to go" (if there is a difference in Japanese)
- - "available now" or "download now" or "get it now" or ... whatever is
most appropriate in your language
Send it to me and I'll add it to the script.
cheers
