For example, if you use openSUSE 12.1, follow steps below:
1) Add M17N repo to your install source.
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/M17N/openSUSE_12.1/
2) Install gjiten and wadokujt packages (and their requirements, if needed).
3) Launch Gjiten.
4) Edit -> Preferences -> Add "/usr/share/edict/wadokujt" as
'Japanisch-Deutsch' (or any other name as you like)
Then, you'll be able to select 'Japanisch-Deutsch' on Gjiten.
By the way, when you are online, you can use http://www.wadoku.de/ for
your communicating in Japanese. ;-)
Best.

As we know, we always have a "口口口口口" looking for CJK file names in TTY
(ctrl + alt + F1).
Now a Chinese coder claims he made patches to fix that:
http://blog.chinaunix.net/uid-436750-id-2123586.html
I made a repo for it:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/MargueriteSu:/kernel/openSU…
Kernel version is 3.7.10, for openSUSE 12.3
You can update kernel-desktop kernel-desktop-devel kernel-devel
kernel-source and test. (the later three packages are provided to make
it possible to build nvidia kernel modules)
Chinese looks good, I need some Japanese testers to see if it covers
Japanese and even other locales as well. (the kernel 8x16 font patch
is big enough)
If it works okay, I think I can submit it to our kernel team for a review.
Greetings
Marguerite
