How can I set up Java under SuSE 9.2 that application programs written in Java recognizes japanese fonts without setting the japanese input method
I think this has nothing to do with the input method.
A similar program is Cgoban which shows japanese fonts under Win XP but not under SuSE.
Cgoban works for me *if* I create the following symbolic link
cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts
ln -s truetype TrueType
Only then I can see in the strace that cgoban opens the sazanami
fonts.
I still don't understand the details, I must search more.
Does it work for you as well when you create that symbolic link?
