Scim works for me quite well and it takes less than 5 minutes to install it -
if you know how. That immediately raises the question of competence. The
competence you must have to setup and maintain any Linux system for
professional use. To run a Windows environment for professional use you need
a lot of Windows specific competence too.

In contrast to what the SuSE marketing people try (or tried) to make you
believe, you cannot just 'simply change'. I spent almost one year getting
familiar with SuSE Linux and setting up one sevice after the other until I
was ready to completely move to Linux. So better send your complaints to the
SuSE marketing people.

BTW If you have no urging reason to throw away the Windows you got with your
computer just keep it and use it. If you have a reason to change you will
have to learn Linux. And since it is a highly complex and powerfull system
this will take a lot of time.

Good luck anyway
