Hello m17n,
Здравствуйте!
Printing in russian using LPD. When i print from kWord i just get a blank page!!! Will CUPS print in russian?
This has nothing to do with LPD/CUPS. To be able to print Russian from KWord, just use scalable fonts which contain Russian characters in KWord. Then Qt3 will embed these fonts in the PostScript output produced by KWord and you will be able to print it correctly with any PostScript printing system, no matter whether it is LPD/CUPS or something else. For example you can use the Microsoft Webfonts for this purpose. Execute the script /usr/X11R6/bin/fetchmsttfonts to download and install the Microsoft Webfonts. Then choose one of these, for example "Times New Roman [Xft]" in KWord. You can use any TrueType fonts you like for this, as long as they contain Russian characters. -- Mike Fabian <mfabian@suse.de> http://www.suse.de/~mfabian 睡眠不足はいい仕事の敵だ。
