If it was only up to me, I would probably go on with the transition to SLE12-SP1. But I would like to hear from current evergreen-13.1 kernel users and users planning to use Evergreen 13.1 when 13.1 regular support finishes.
I agree with your conclusions and would also like to see the SLE12-SP1 kernel be used as a base for Evergreen 13.1.
I hope that does not mean that Evergreen 13.1 drops support for the 32 bit arch. :-?
No, it does not. After all, moving from SLE12 to SLE12-SP1 kernel does not mean any difference from this point of view (i586 has been dropped even in SLE12 GA). On the other hand, while I usually at least boot and run new kernels for a few days before committing them to home:mkubecek:evergreen-13.1 OBS project, I don't have any system to actually test i586 builds at the moment; together with the fact that there is no i586 SLE12 release it means that i586 builds are only build tested (for now, at least).
