Or decide once and for all that we stick to the current situation. (I'm not in favor of this, but to some degree it would still be better than the uncertainty we are in at the moment.)
I am facing a chicken and egg situation here. Doing the right thing is a huge investment. I am not going to do that unless I get prior agreement that the patches would be accepted in principle.
