Hello, since Kernel 3.13 (tested with latest 3.14.2 kernel from Kernel_stable repo) I can not use the suspend-to-disk function in KDE. Screen goes off, but PC does not power-off and will not resume after a reset. My setup: openSUSE 13.1 KDE 4.13.0 (from KDE_Current repo) Kernel 3.14.2 (kernel-default-3.14.2-2.1.ge72b790.x86_64 from Kernel_stable repo, I also tested Vanilla kernels) Xorg 7.6 (from X11_XOrg repo) After a lot of testing I found, that the problem only occurs, if the desktop effects in KDE are active. I think, it's a kernel graphics driver issue for Kernels >= 3.13. I have this problem on two completely different PCs. PC1: ATI Radeon HD 3450 with radeon driver Intel Core i5-750 PC2: Intel Core i5-4200U Haswell with integrated graphics My current work-arounds are: using Kernel 3.12.18 (the latest Kernel < 3.13) or manually switch off desktop effects before suspend-to-disk. There is not much info about these work-arounds. One note can be found here (in German): http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/pm-utils Is anyone else effected? Are there bug-reports or better solutions/work-arounds etc.?
