Essentially every 13.1 user with an rt3290 wireless device is affected by https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61621. The necessary patch has been applied to mainline and backported to stable kernels. I do not know what revision of 3.12 has the patch, but 3.11.8 contains it. Unfortunately, users of openSUSE 13.1 only get 3.11.6, which does not have the patch.
If there is some major reason for not using 3.11.8, would it be possible to cherry pick the patch. The mainline commit is
