Anything that has a listing for some version older than the one you want to use is virtually certain to be supported still.
But since it wasn't mentioned, I thought it is better to confirm. I had tried this card on openSUSE 11.3 before posting here but `lspci` hadn't shown anything relevant. BTW, now I realize that it was my BIOS's fault. The hardware (does work on other computers) wasn't being detected by my BIOS itself.
Even so, I updated a few of the common ones to show explicit support in newer releases: 8139, 8169 & e100.
