Thanks for the quick reply, that's curious because at the 3.1.7 build,
I've still installed both rpms.

Hi, and that's perfectly OK. You need only one of those. -base for
a limited environment and non-base for standard use. This changed
years ago for openSUSE. For SLE it is a different story, one still
needs both.
