currently, i've uname -ri 2.6.33-rc6-11-xen x86_64 iiuc, these kernels, from Kernel:/HEAD/openSUSE_11.2, track the branch @ kernel.org, mainline: 2.6.33-rc6. according to http://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Btrfs_source_repositories, btrfs 'stable' is included in mainline. and, @ opensuse, i've rpm -qa | grep btrfs btrfsprogs-0.19-12.1.x86_64 from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/drivers:/filesystems/openSUSE_11.2, and modinfo btrfs filename: /lib/modules/2.6.33-rc6-11-xen/kernel/fs/btrfs/btrfs.ko license: GPL srcversion: 7FEB82935E1856C698A703C depends: libcrc32c,zlib_deflate vermagic: 2.6.33-rc6-11-xen SMP mod_unload modversions Xen which is consistent with stable btrfs branch. is there any obs project that's tracking more-recent btrfs UNSTABLE, so as to pickup more recent changes? if not, are there any concerns re: simply building from the btrfs git sources (http://btrfs.wiki.kernel.org/index.php/Btrfs_source_repositories#Unstable_Re...) against current opensuse Kernel:HEAD sources? just not clear on the dependencies ... thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+help@opensuse.org
