I removed plasma5-session and moved ~/.kde and ~/.kde4 to a hidden place. I also removed {/var/tmp/kdecache,/tmp/ksocket,/tmp/kde}-username. I logged in and it looks better, but I still get the plasma taskbar below kicker. What package would I need to remove to get rid of it?
I don't know. Someone on the [opensuse-kde] list ought to know. In the meantime, Plasma 5 settings are kept in various locations in ~/.config/. Getting rid of those should make that extra taskbar go away. Probably ~/.config/plasma* and ~/.config/k* should do it without damaging anything you care about. If that turns out not to be enough, try those there that begin startup and systemsettings. ~/.config/session and ~/.config/plasma-workspace also belong to Plasma 5. I don't think KDE3 uses anything in ~/.config/ except Trolltech.conf and menus. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
