Hello: I would like to know if automatic removable device recognition and mount works in KDE3/openSUSE 13.2. From the previous releases, oS 12.2 was the last one where I could make conventional automount work in KDE3. By conventional automount I mean that the device is recognized when plugged in, a window pops up asking what action to do, and an icon is placed on the desktop. By right clicking the icon there are options for unmount and/or safely remove the device. As far as I know this behavior required/requires HAL. In oS 12.3 I could not make HAL work. I haven't tried os 13.1 and 13.2 yet. Back to my question: Is this type od mounting works in oS 13.2? If not, do I have to handle devices manually (mounting manually in a console window)? Or is it possible to use KDE4 device manaager applet in KDE3 system tray/panel?
