I use the KDE4 program synaptiks under KDE3 to switch off the touchpad, but I need to keep on my computer its very old version (0.2.0), because the newer versions do not contain any executable file in /usr/bin. I am afraid, sooner or later this old version will finally will not work at all (as it happened with ksynaptics). Maybe, somebody knows, if it is possible to launch somehow such a newer version of synaptiks under KDE3?
IMHO you can try to use ksynaptics. To utilize it you would have to 1) make changes to xorg.conf (it will tell you what to write there) 2) load discrete synaptics driver (support for touchpad has been moved to kernel, but you need a separate driver for ksynatics, and such driver can be found in OBS AFAIK). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde3+owner@opensuse.org
