Only things I observed, don't know if normal or not:
1. During boot, a red bolded line came up in the stream of messages: "System
console stolen at line 266"
2. When the desktop came up, immediately before the (first-time) Greeter
window appeared, I got this error message: "Could not start process Unable
to create io-slave: Klauncher said". Clicking OK made it go away, no
apparent impact later. Scurrilous message?

BTW, my 11.4_x86/KDE3 Kcontrol still doesn't work. I don't have the Ansus
repo above in my config.
