Hi all,
I have just installed Leap 42.2 and i am trying to make Kodi work. The first issue was trying with "Nothing provides libdbus-1.so.3(LIBDBUS_1_3)(64bit)". I chose then not to install Kodi afraid of breaking it.
However, Zypper still showed the rest of packages and let me to continue with the installation. I supposed that libdbus-1.so.3(LIBDBUS_1_3)(64bit) was not really a dependency and i could ignore it.
The installation finished, but Kodi didn't run. It showed me this error: /usr/lib64/kodi/kodi.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libmicrohttpd.so.12: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I then wen to http://software.opensuse.org/package/libmicrohttpd12 and i found that package to not be considered stable for Leap 42.2.
It gave me two options to install, from "devel:libraries:c_c++" and from "server:http".
Can you tell me which one is better ? Does Devel means something like a Factory stage or is it from a Development pattern for C and C++ ?. In the case of Server, i suppose it is meant for the configuration of a Server, like Web development, isn't it ?
In case it is a Development pattern for C and C++, is it better for using Kodi to install only that package of to install the whole pattern ?
IMHO you have a broken build of kodi in first place. It shouldn't depend on libs which are not provided with it's repo ...
