Is there any such package any more for controlling fonts in either GTK2 or GTK3 apps in the latest Plasma? If so, what?
kde-gtk-config5.
You will find an entry "Application Appearance"->"GTK" in systemsettings5 if you install that.
OK, so now that that's explained, and with Adwaita as the style for GTK3 on both, what's the answer to the question "Given identical mozilla.org builds and DEs on both, why are UI fonts smaller on Tumbleweed's RV47 than RV45" (TW behavior is same in Plasma5 and IceWM as in KDE3.): http://fm.no-ip.com/SS/Moz/uifontsRV47.html
Upstream bug (cross-distro) pins the blame: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367499 Left unfixed, as it appears will be for foreseeable future at least, it means upgrading to 42.2 will not be possible without considerable pain for those using non-96DPI environments, unless possibly with some kind of additional GTK bloat, or switching over entirely to a GTK-based DE. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive."
