problems have been resolved. Besides, I don't feel like switching back to the other distro. What version of the OpenSUSE distro is the fixed Plasma5? Leap currently has 5.4.2 (5.4.3 will be submitted as an update). And just to be clear here: What openSUSE version did you actually install?
If it's 13.1 or 13.2, you won't be switched to Plasma 5 automatically as long as you stay with that distribution version. 13.2 does come with an earlier version of Plasma 5 (5.3.2), but you'd have to actively switch to it. Or you can install the latest one from additional repos.
But the default in 13.2 and 13.1 is KDE4, and that won't change.
OTOH, as mentioned, Leap 42.1 and Tumbleweed use Plasma 5 by default, and it is not (easily) possible to go back to KDE4.
Oh lordy - a glimmer, but nevertheless a glimmer, of hope: "...it is not (easily) possible to go back to KDE4."! Not 'easily' but it is possible. Can you tell me how, please? Pretty please :-) .
