Hello,
how can I switch to KDE5? Or is it called Plasma 5? or KF5?
First of all, let's clear up the confusion. ;) What you'd like to upgrade is called Plasma 5, which is the so-called workspace. KF5 are the development libraries from which it is built upon.
And there won't be a KDE5, ever. :P
Jokes aside, you will need the KDE:Frameworks5 repository, and KDE:Applications for updated applications. Bear in mind that a number of packages can't be provided to openSUSE 13.2 due to the old versions of the software stacks it ships with.
More details are at https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:KDE_repositories.
It should be noted that like all third-party repos, those come without support (aka "do it at your own risk"). Nevertheless, if you have issues feel free to post here and we'll see how we can help.
and which folders in ~ should I remove/rename? It seems that lately KDE4 has developed a tendency to splatter configuration/data into a LOT of locations outside ~/.kde4 ... Or could I try to migrate my existing KDE4 configuration to Plasma 5? One thing I know: I am going to create a LVM snapshot of ~ first.
