Hi,
I've just published the first Firefox 29 for openSUSE in the mozilla:beta repository. Since this version is a major update to the Firefox UI I'm seeking input from KDE users/developers which UI parts need adjustments when running under KDE.
You probably know that our Firefox switches to a bit of different behaviour when running under KDE but with the new changes I'm not sure what's wrong now and what needs to be adapted still.
So in case you are curious and want to give feedback, please feel free to install the beta package and let me know.
Firefox 29 (or maybe earlier version) have web notification api for social services. It uses non-system notification popups as opposed to other notifications (for example downloading finish). GNotifier addon [1] fixes it.
yes, since web notifations are supported all support for native notifications was removed to achieve the required flexibility of the standard (AFAIK). This was done a few version ago (before or with 24.0 already). BTW, this is even worse for Thunderbird since the flexibility of web notifications are not really required there. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=858919 Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kde+owner@opensuse.org
