Is it safe to update from 4.12.4 "Current" to 4.12.4-1.2 today Monday, April 7 or wait till Thursday?
Why would you wait till Thursday ? What is going to happen this Thursday ?? Nothing happened with KDE:Current, so the only reason why you received some updates is that based on changes in the 13.1 Update repositories, some packages were rebuild. No other changes.
I didn't want to update and then find that 13.1 couldn't boot to the desktop. It's happened in earlier versions of 4.x. Better to ask no? I used to wait for the entire repository had been updated for me to download. ;-)
The same situation as with the KDE:Release:XY repos is in place and I have just threw the switch that the repo will not rebuild in case of some update in the Update repository.
I always thought that the rebuild was always done in another repository i.e Test Once successful it would be transferred to the download repository.
And, Is there an OBS Current test repository? A KDE:Current test repo ?? Well, you could consider KDE:Unstable:SC as a test repo for the next KDE release, which will receive a second testcycle in KDE:Distro:Factory and from there it will end up in KDE:Current. However this is only valid for major releases e.g. moving to KDE 4.13. bugfix releases are directly put in KDE:Current.
