You always want more, and don't we all ;-) : :)! : Yeah, technically that is possible, just a little bit more work.
Thing is, if we just go for 'latest' we eliminate some work for the openSUSE KDE team. If we do both, we give them EXTRA work, which means - later KDE releases, more issues for us.
So it goes a bit like "what do you want: a KDE:Latest and better KDE packages, or a latest AND the old setup, AND worse packages?" ;-)
I wonder - do you have any reason why the current setup is any good?
/Personally/ I would always want latest. I usually let time `bake' a release and when I migrate, I want the /latest/ I was just thinking for those people who want to lock-in to a specific version for some particular reason.
Well, the thing is - we try to find those 'particular reasons'. We can't ever improve anything if we always assume that there MIGHT somewhere be somebody relying on what we do today ;-)
