Now once again in this round -
I'm using opensuse 12.2 actually now with KDE 4.93 and its almost the same mess as in 4.85 from original repo.
I am using the same and I don't have this trouble.
Mysqld still eating up most of performance - please don't claim mysql :::: it was'nt my idea to impement it !!!
And lack of performance still seems to be the problem of kmail2.
And restarting akonadi periodically in 4.93 seems to be an additional problem - vice versa 4.85 - just IMHO. And my experience.
So - please once again my earlier question (topic!)
WHY THIS WAY ?
This is the wrong question. It is as it is!! And either you are going to use it or not. If you want any help you have to describe what exactly your problem is and what you have done to solve it sofar. After that we can give you some suggestions how to proceed and end up in a workable condition, like I have. I have about 6 accounts and in total about 20,000 email messages stored on my local desktop.
