Hi, together ! Now once again in this round - I'm using opensuse 12.2 actually now with KDE 4.93 and its almost the same mess as in 4.85 from original repo. Mysqld still eating up most of performance - please don't claim mysql :::: it was'nt my idea to impement it !!! And lack of performance still seems to be the problem of kmail2. And restarting akonadi periodically in 4.93 seems to be an additional problem - vice versa 4.85 - just IMHO. And my experience. So - please once again my earlier question (topic!) WHY THIS WAY ? Why not the simple - the straight way ? No, I'm almost tired (yes, after two tries) hard trying to give a usable feedback if you've ever been interested, any halfway useful answer seems to be: upgrade to 4.9X I've upgraded now 3 times from original repo to factory just to see that kmail2 is as worse as it almost ever was. So what you think is bad about switching to RH running KDE 4.7X ... Pretty (very) old OS but with kmail(not2!) and serving good for desktop usage. Greets, Am Di 13.11.2012, 14:25:24 schrieb Carlos E. I can lend weight to that. I have RoadRunner which only offers pop3 or web access.
Another one: sympatico.ca I was visiting on summer 2011 and could not set it up for someone. Sympatico wants their clients to use webmail only. They only had pop3, no sync with web.
